BAHAMAS MUSIC CONSERVATORY

All classes must be paid for a term at a time in advance.

Monday 6pm  Voice Skills Class

This 45 minute class will teach breathing technique and singing technique.  It will look at the difference between solo singing and choral singing, and explore singing different styles of music.

Cost: $15 per person per week

Monday 7pm Music Theory

This 45 minute structured class will teach all aspects of music theory.

Cost: $15 per person per week.

Monday 8pm Music Theory Examination Preparation

This 45 minute class will assist students who wish to take music theory examinations.  Students will receive directed tutoring to help them to prepare for the exam they wish to take.  Students may opt to take examinations with The Royal School of Music or Trinity College.

Cost: $15 per person per week.

Wednesday 6pm Sight-Singing Class

This 45 minute class is designed for singers who want to be able to read the music better.  It will concentrate on teaching singers how to read their music and sing it accurately.  This class will cater both for singers who can already read music a little and those who can't read music at all.

Cost $15 per person per week.

Friday 7pm Conducting Skills

This one hour class will teach the skills of conducting.  The class will explore the differences of conducting bands, orchestras and choirs, and will give the students an opportunity to specialize in one aspect of conducting if they wish.

Cost:  $15 per person per week.
